Fondren Fitness, located at 2807 Old Canton Road in Fondren, will expand at their current location.
The Studios at Fondren Fitness will be built in the building that was previously Montgomery Ace Hardware, which closed in December of 2020. The new space will be built around a “Sweat, Stretch, Spin” concept, and the expansion will consist of three separate studio spaces.
“Sweat” classes will be intense cardio classes, like high intensity interval training and kickboxing. “Stretch” classes will consist of yoga, barre and Pilates. With “Spin” classes and a full spin room planned for the expansion, the Studios at Fondren Fitness will bring the first true spin studio to the metro Jackson area.
“Fondren Fitness is inspired by best-in-class gyms in larger cities we’d visit. We’re members too, and pride ourselves on designing the gym we want to use. Adding a full spin room is the next step to continue making Fondren Fitness a unique destination for people to work out,” said Terry Sullivan, General Manager at Fondren Fitness.
The expansion is slated to be complete by late summer/early fall of 2021 and will offer members the ability to join just the gym, just the studios, or both. Drop-ins will also be allowed in the various classes offered throughout the week and weekends.
“Along with our current amenities, our partnership with Fit Chef Catering, and our neighbor Mama Nature’s Juice Bar, we think the Studios at Fondren Fitness will be a fantastic addition for the community to enjoy a one-stop wellness hub,” said Sullivan.
